Child Protection Standard
ARKTIK is family-first. Our programs for minors are designed for education, formation, and documented outcomes—not entertainment, engagement loops, or social-network behavior.
1. Non-negotiable posture
Parent/guardian consent is required for minors.
Closed cohorts by default (enrollment is controlled; no public discovery features for minors).
No open DMs for minors. Communication is cohort-based and mentor-mediated.
Human-led moderation. Automated tools may flag content, but people decide outcomes.
2. Zero tolerance: sexualized content and exploitation
ARKTIK maintains zero tolerance for:
Sexualized speech involving minors
Grooming behavior (any attempt to sexualize, isolate, coerce, or solicit a minor)
Exploitative requests, imagery, or links
“Jokes,” “roleplay,” or “edgy” content that sexualizes minors
Violations result in immediate removal from the environment and escalation as appropriate.
3. This is not a social network
ARKTIK does not run on:
Feeds
Likes/followers
Popularity scoring
Viral distribution incentives
Our loop is: prompt → discussion → draft → revision → artifact → mastery/portfolio.
4. Identity and privacy protections
Public-facing student work uses pseudonyms by default.
Real names are opt-in and require explicit parent/guardian permission.
We minimize data collection and retain only what is required for delivery, safety, and documented outcomes. ARKTIK | A Way of Life
5. Reporting and escalation
If content suggests imminent harm, exploitation, abuse, or credible threats:
We may escalate to the appropriate adult(s) and/or authorities consistent with applicable law and duty-to-report expectations.
We do not conduct investigations. We act to protect participants and preserve program integrity. ARKTIK | A Way of Life
6. Corrections and accountability (Publishing Network)
Where ARKTIK publishes student work (anthologies/showcases), we operate with:
Editorial review
Versioning and corrections posture
Parent-controlled publication permissions
