What this course is

This is a stand-alone short course for adults who want employable, safety-first 12-volt installation discipline. You’ll learn a repeatable workflow for planning, routing, protecting, verifying, and documenting an install so the work is reliable, serviceable, and defensible.

This course is aligned to the ARKTIK Installer Standard (AIS)—a workmanship and verification standard designed to reduce comebacks, electrical damage, and “guesswork installs.”

Who this is for

  • Mobile installers and service technicians

  • Entry-level techs who want to become employable fast

  • Shops that need consistent install quality and fewer comebacks

  • Anyone serious about disciplined, warranty-safe workmanship

What youll be able to do when you finish

  1. Plan a safe 12-volt install (power/ground, fusing, routing, protection)

  2. Build clean harness runs that hold under heat, vibration, and movement

  3. Verify critical circuits with a multimeter (no assumptions, no guessing)

  4. Document the job so another tech can service it later without speculation

  5. Pass QC using ARKTIK checklists and verification logs

The ARKTIK Installer Standard (AIS) — Non-Negotiable

ARKTIK trains and requires workmanship that is structurally secure, visually clean, and serviceable—OEM level or elevated. Our baseline expectation is that an installation should look like it belongs in the vehicle from the factory.

Minimum requirements

  • Securement: all wiring tied down and strain-relieved; no free-hanging runs

  • Protection: loomed and protected from heat, abrasion, vibration, and moving components

  • Finish: TESA tape (or OEM-equivalent harness tape) where appropriate for abrasion/noise control and OEM appearance

  • Connections: critical connections are military spliced and soldered, then sealed with heat shrink (adhesive-lined when needed)

  • Routing: follow OEM routing principles (grommets, factory channels, proper bend radius, no pinch points)

  • Verification: no circuit is assumed—critical circuits are verified with a multimeter and logged

Authoritative references + meter verification: wiring references support the work; every critical circuit is verified with a multimeter and logged—no speculation.

Not acceptable: T-taps/quick taps, wire speculation, twist-and-tape, exposed copper, unsecured runs, unprotected routing, or anything likely to fail under vibration/heat.

Warranty-safe by default

ARKTIK’s default posture is warranty-safe and reversible where feasible. If a requested configuration could reasonably affect warranty coverage or vehicle system integrity, ARKTIK requires:

  • written informed consent (plain-language explanation of risk)

  • documented scope (what is modified and why)

  • deposits and guardrails appropriate to risk level

  • verification + QC sign-off using ARKTIK checklists and measurement logs

If informed consent and guardrails are not accepted, ARKTIK will not proceed with that configuration.

What you leave with (Job Packet)

Step-by-step install checklist

  1. Wiring plan template (power/ground/fuse/routing plan)

  2. Verification & measurement log (what you tested and confirmed)

  3. QC sign-off sheet

  4. Routing/protection standard you can apply immediately

Optional: KITKRA Desk Access (18+)

Need guided support between sessions? KITKRA is support, not instruction—structured prompts, templates, and gated micro-coaching.

If you select Course + KITKRA (30 days) at checkout, you also get:

  • A guided prompt pack for this course

  • Documentation templates (job log, QC narrative, verification notes)

  • Access to Bookings (5-min Gate Check, 15-min Micro-Coaching)
