After the longest government shutdown in modern U.S. history, families watched core supports stall in real time. EBT and food stamp systems went dark in places, agencies went to skeleton staffing, and the federal Department of Education moved from uncertainty to dismantling. None of that paused the daily reality of kids who still needed to learn, parents who still had court dates, and households that still had to pay bills and put food on the table.
Both red and blue states were hit. Urban and rural schools scrambled. Courts, churches, and community organizations tried to fill gaps with whatever tools they had. Families learned the hard way that even when big systems seize up, life does not wait for Washington to fix itself.
ARKTIK was built for exactly this environment.
